MOUTH.
To eat is to incorporate landscapes, while eating we assimilate nutrients and water from a specific geographic location where our food had grown. Like this, the food chain is also a chain of micronutrients displacement, from the locality where they come, to the locality where they are consumed. It is also a chain of many hands, from planting, to harvesting, to transporting, to preparing, to discarding.
Our food, reflects the quality of our immediate environment, not just by the social aspect food carries or the comfort a warm meal can offer, specially when shared with friends, but also by the means in which it is cultivated, distributed and wasted. We truly connect with this Earth through our digestive system, the undeniably reality of our bodies eats, assimilates and incorporates this very world.
CARE WHERE? MUCH TASTE, MUCH WASTE, is our saliva dripping into the August issue of the fanzine.
We hope you enjoy it.
